What You’ll Do
⦁ Build and lead the corporate tax function, owning strategy, planning, forecasting, and execution
⦁ Oversee federal, state, and international tax compliance, including all filings, estimated payments, audits, transfer pricing, and cash repatriation
⦁ Manage tax accounting close processes, ensuring accurate monthly reconciliations and reporting
⦁ Prepare and review tax provisions and footnote disclosures in accordance with ASC 740
⦁ Identify tax risks, opportunities, and optimization strategies, including R&D credits and Sec. 174 impacts
⦁ Partner with internal teams on tax implications of operations, transactions, and corporate initiatives
⦁ Maintain strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities
⦁ Oversee uncertain tax position documentation to comply with ASC 740-10
⦁ Ensure internal controls and documentation accuracy for all tax-related activities
⦁ Assess and develop resource needs as you establish the in-house tax department
⦁ Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices across the tax organization
What You Need
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred
⦁ 10+ years of progressive tax experience (public accounting + corporate) with US and international focus
⦁ Experience in multi-entity, global environments with complex structures
⦁ Strong knowledge of ASC 740, tax law, and the ability to research complex issues
⦁ Proficiency with tax management tools, MS Office, Google Suite, and NetSuite
⦁ Skilled in managing external advisors and distributed internal stakeholders
⦁ Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulations
⦁ Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment with high integrity
Preferred
⦁ Leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams
⦁ Experience with IPO prep, M&A, recapitalizations, and related transactions
⦁ Experience supervising outsourced tax provision and tax filing processes
