- Full-time, remote (U.S. only, equipment provided)
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET
- Sunday–Thursday OR Tuesday–Saturday
- Some holiday coverage required
What You’ll Do
- Manage the authorization process end-to-end: notification → entry/submission → follow-up → determination → discharge
- Document thoroughly in the EMR, CorroHealth internal system, and payer portals
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits
- Act as the liaison between hospital staff and health payers to keep information flowing and timelines on track
- Review timely filing guidelines tied to utilization management
- Track pending authorizations and follow up with payers for timely responses
- Contact payers to clarify status/decisions and remove obstacles slowing the process
- Identify issues that could cause delays or denials and escalate appropriately
- Manage your workload through consistent follow-up and accurate record keeping
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and privacy standards
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in healthcare administration preferred)
- 2+ years in hospital billing/follow-up, healthcare setting, or authorization work
- Knowledge of managed care contracts
- Experience with customer support / issue resolution
- Strong medical terminology + insurance process understanding
- EMR experience (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with MS Office and web-based systems
