Primer is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our accounting, compliance and budgeting efforts. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of accounting experience with more recent experience managing a team and assuming controller-like responsibilities with either a CPA or CMA (preferred). You will be responsible for maintaining the Company’s financial policies and procedures, ensuring good accounting practices and providing regular updates to management on historical financial performance. You will also prepare the Company budget and assist in third-party audit exercises. We are fast-growing and seek self motivated, adaptive leaders. Past experience with mature companies as well as startups is preferred. 
Responsibilities:

Monitor and enforce financial policies and procedures

Prep are budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans

Supports budget goals by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing variances; initiating corrective actionsMonitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; works with external audit partners

Maintains general ledger and chart of accounts

Maintains accounting staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications

Assisting with FP&A activities

Requirements:Bachelors in Accounting or business administrationCPA minimum, CPM preferred 6+ years of accounting experience, bonus points for startup experienceAbility to learn quickly, roll up sleeves and execute in the day to day Excellent communication skills – ability to engage with executive leadership and investors
