What You’ll Do
• Respond to patient and client complaints and escalations related to balances and payments
• Research missing payments using EOBs, check/payment info, insurance portals, and payer outreach as needed
• Investigate where payments may have been posted across systems (legacy and CB), not just the patient’s account
• Analyze historical data to identify root causes behind escalations and recurring issues
• Handle clarification requests from an overseas team across multiple systems
• Post Accounts Payable deposits and support daily cash posting needs
• Process electronic 835s and manual payer EOBs (allowables, patient responsibility, denials, adjustments, contractual allowances, recoups, forward balancing)
• Interpret EOB remittance codes and apply correct denial codes
• Balance and close payment batches on time
• Communicate coaching opportunities to Posting Managers clearly and promptly
• Complete special projects for escalated clients by assigned deadlines
What You Need
• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ years of cash posting experience
• Strong written and verbal communication that’s professional and concise
• High attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to handle confidential information
• Positive, steady presence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Performance and conduct requirements:
• Average QA score of 90%+ over the past 90 days
• Excellent time and attendance (not on attendance counseling)
• Not currently on disciplinary action
