This role is for the fixer, not the script reader. You’ll take the toughest patient and client escalations, dig into the details, and get to resolution fast, while keeping leadership informed and the posting operation tight.

What You’ll Do
• Handle escalations and complaints related to account balances and payments, and determine the right course of action
• Research missing payments using EOBs, check details, insurance portals, and insurer outreach when needed
• Resolve escalated accounts within 24 hours
• Investigate where payments may have posted across systems, beyond the patient’s account, to locate and correct issues
• Analyze historical data to identify root causes behind recurring client and patient escalations
• Respond to clarification requests from an overseas team across legacy and current systems
• Post Accounts Payable deposits and support daily payment posting needs
• Process electronic 835s and manual payer EOBs, including allowables, patient portions, denials, adjustments, contractuals, recoups, and forward balancing
• Interpret EOB remittance codes and apply accurate denial codes
• Balance and close payment batches on time
• Flag coaching opportunities for Posting Specialists and communicate them clearly to Posting Managers
• Complete special projects by deadline as assigned
What You Need
• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ years of cash posting experience
• Strong written and verbal communication that’s professional, clear, and concise
• High attention to detail and sound judgment with sensitive, confidential information
• Positive, steady attitude in a fast paced, collaborative environment
• Strong performance indicators (as listed):
• Average QA score of 90%+ over the past 90 days
• Excellent time and attendance (not on attendance counseling)
• Not currently on any form of disciplinary action
• Ability to communicate tactfully with diverse personalities and keep things moving without drama
