- Production environment with strict turn times and quality expectations
What You’ll Do
- Review 14–16 condition files per day to verify that all requested items meet investor, agency, HUD, VA, USDA, HFA, and internal guidelines
- Analyze supporting documents tied to credit, employment, income, assets, and other financial data to confirm they satisfy the Credit Underwriter’s conditions
- Communicate with internal and external Sales Partners, Underwriters, Processors, Broker Coordinators, and Closers regarding any condition items that cannot be cleared as submitted
- Confirm accuracy for each loan type, product, rate, and documentation set before clearing conditions
- Stay current on all investor, agency, FHA, VA, USDA, and Union Home Mortgage guideline changes and overlays
- Maintain quality control ratings within company standards while meeting daily production expectations
- Join live and recorded trainings, seminars, and departmental huddles to stay ahead of market and regulatory trends
- Provide training support to the sales force when needed and assist loan officers, broker partners, and NDC clients with scenario questions and unclear conditions
What You Need
- Three to five years of experience in prefunding QC, underwriting help desk, senior processing, or a similar mortgage condition clearing role
- Complete working knowledge of the mortgage business and loan life cycle
- Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, and Agency loans
- Knowledge of Encompass loan origination system
- Strong analytical skills in credit, risk, and documentation review
- High attention to detail with solid decision making skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with comfort supporting both internal teams and external partners
- Strong personal organization, adaptability, and ability to work under deadline pressure
- Comfort working with financial and quantitative data
