What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategy, design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs
- Develop and manage comp and benefits policies, programs, and procedures
- Design and administer salary structures, incentive plans, and executive compensation
- Evaluate and select benefit plans (health, dental, life, retirement, and more)
- Monitor market trends and conduct benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and compliance
- Advise senior leadership on total rewards strategy, plan enhancements, and cost effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits
- Manage vendor, broker, consultant, and partner relationships
- Oversee stock option and long-term incentive plans
- Support HR and leaders on compensation and benefits questions and decisions
- Prepare and present compensation and benefits metrics and reporting to leadership
- Support other priorities as assigned
What You Need
- Bachelor’s in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive compensation and benefits management experience
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of comp and benefits laws, regulations, and best practices
- Deep ERISA expertise, including:
- Retirement and welfare plan compliance and administration
- Fiduciary responsibilities, reporting, and disclosure rules
- Oversight of filings like Form 5500 and Summary Annual Reports (SAR)
- Plan document/SPD review for compliance
- Managing DOL audits and inquiries
- Plan corrections and voluntary compliance programs
- Working with carriers, brokers, consultants, and ERISA attorneys
- Leading open enrollment communications and education
- Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- High integrity and confidentiality
