Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Communications Manager, Aerospace Group to join our team.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 – $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:
• Advise and support the leaders of Eaton’s Global Aerospace Group in the strategic management of communications between the organization and its key stakeholders (employees, local communities, general public and media).
• Collaboratively partner with human resources and other key contacts around the world to develop and implement Group-wide and division-specific strategic communication plans that increase employee engagement, support business objectives and raise awareness of and preference for Eaton.
• Most of this role will be focused on internal activities related to change management, employee engagement and communications strategy while some of the successful candidate’s time will also be focused on externally facing thought leadership and media/PR activities.
• The successful candidate will be creative, collaborative and results driven. In this role, you must be an excellent writer and content creator across various mediums and channels, be capable of coaching leaders at various levels on effective communication practices and have experience leading communications initiatives in a complex, global organization.
• ” Strategic planning: Work with key leaders and partners to develop and implement group-wide and division-specific strategic internal communications plans that support business goals, increase employee engagement, facilitate change and build the Eaton brand and culture.
• Employee engagement: Create communications plans designed to facilitate change, enhance employee engagement and build trust in leadership. In collaboration with corporate communications, human resources, business leadership and key functional leaders, develop and implement employee communications plans and programs to support business goals, and to build and strengthen employee understanding, alignment and engagement with those goals. Maintain channels, tools and processes for two-way communication with internal and external stakeholders (could include internal announcements, speeches, blogs, presentations, newsletters, surveys, web-enabled tools, videos, special events, etc.).
• Executive / Leadership Communication: Works with Group and division leaders and other subject matter experts to create and refine social media posts, talking points, articles, blogs, presentations, etc.
• Change management: Develops and executes strategies to address a high level of sustained organizational change. Aligns stakeholders on effective communication using proven change management process methodology.
• Results measurement: Demonstrate fiscal accountability in budgets and cost-benefit analysis of communications activities. Ensures communication plans are measurable against objectives and responsible for collecting, tracking and reporting performance metrics.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in communications/journalism/marketing or other relevant field is (required)
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a communications professional is required.
• Global, broad-reaching responsibilities in internal communications working in a corporation or via a combination of agency and corporate experience (required).
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Skills:
• Proven experience in designing and implementing effective communications strategies
• Strategic communications planning skills: Ability to define communications objectives which are aligned and in support of business objectives; analyze and interpret information, business conditions, stakeholder positions and other variables in order to develop a framework for strategic communications; define strategic and measurable objectives; adjust the strategy in response to or anticipation of changing conditions; design and conduct both quantitative and qualitative research.
• Experience with digital communications tools and channels (i.e. M365 Teams, SharePoint, Townhall, Viva Engage; AppSpace, media monitoring, social media) and understands their role in reaching strategic business objectives.
• Ability to synthesize complex information; understand the needs and interests of target audiences; define and articulate messages; generate effective and compelling content for a variety of vehicles; create and edit copy; develop and deliver effective presentations.
• Understanding of communications process and its use in influencing perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors; broad exposure to and understanding of the integrated disciplines of the communication function (i.e. media relations, employee communications, branding and corporate identity, financial communications, marketing communications, community relations)
• Demonstrated ability to provide communications counsel to the company’s leaders.
• Ability to lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects according to established processes; serve as a consultant for internal and external customers.
• Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail is important, as is a strong desire for continuous improvement. “
