Schedule
- Fully remote role within the United States
- Standard full-time schedule (40 hours per week)

- Regular collaboration with Collections, Accounting, Sales, and Customer Service
What You’ll Do
- Proactively contact clients daily via phone, email, and written communication to secure payments and resolve outstanding balances
- Use creative problem-solving to address slow-pay issues and negotiate realistic payment arrangements
- Review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify at-risk accounts and build targeted follow-up plans
- Partner with Accounts Receivable and clients to resolve short/over payments and clear unapplied cash
- Manage work across multiple systems and tools (e.g., CRM and billing platforms) while staying organized
- Conduct timely follow-ups on promises to pay and escalate issues appropriately when needed
- Flag potential credit risks and recommend accounts for escalation, credit hold, or external collection placement
- Assist with processing approved bad-debt write-offs and maintain accurate supporting documentation
- Generate and review reports to track risk, trends, and collection activity across your portfolio
- Work with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accuracy across accounts
- Suggest process improvements and support best practices within the collections function
- Maintain detailed notes and records of all collection activities in systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and Maxio
- Ensure all collection work complies with company policies and applicable federal and state debt collection regulations
What You Need
- Minimum 3 years of collections experience; B2B collections strongly preferred
- In-house collections experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, empathetic tone
- Ability to handle challenging client conversations while protecting the relationship and the company’s interests
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, Word); advanced Excel is a plus
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite and Maxio (Chargify) is a plus
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
