Schedule
- Remote role; must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI.
- Full time position in a phone and computer based office environment.
- Two evening shifts per week: 12 pm to 9 pm CST and 10 am to 7 pm CST.
- One Saturday shift every 5 weeks.
What You’ll Do
- Make outbound calls on past due customer accounts to resolve delinquencies in line with company policies.
- Identify delinquent and at risk accounts and take ownership for driving resolution and next steps.
- Research delinquent accounts and determine the best course of action for resolution.
- Process over the phone payments, including credit card transactions, and document account activity accurately.
- Provide relief options to customers experiencing hardship, following company guidelines and practices.
- Use internal tools and resources to achieve one call resolutions whenever possible.
- Clearly explain interest, statements, balances, and other account details to customers.
- Assist with overflow calls including disputes, recovery, first pay, and bankruptcy as needed.
- Support in office and administrative tasks that help the account servicing team operate smoothly.
- Perform other collections and servicing duties as assigned by management.
What You Need
- Associate degree in business, finance, communications, marketing, or related field, or relevant applicable experience.
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, internet, email, and overall Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Professional phone presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations using tact and diplomacy.
- Fast and accurate typing skills and strong attention to detail.
- Reliability, a positive can do attitude, and the ability to multitask under deadlines while supporting team success.
