Schedule
- Full-time, remote (US-based only)
- Reliable and punctual attendance required

Responsibilities
- Research overdue account balances, follow up by phone/mail with insurance carriers or customers
- Review unpaid and underpaid claims; resubmit or appeal as needed
- Verify payment information and adjustments with supervisor
- Coordinate delinquent account activity with external collection agencies or attorneys when appropriate
- Ensure compliance with FDCPA and company policies
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding account status and thoroughly document actions
- Prepare adjustments, refunds, or resubmissions to resolve discrepancies
- Track all collection activity in billing systems with accuracy
- Pursue patient payments when insurance defaults, as legally permitted
- Escalate recurring issues to supervisors and support department projects
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- 1+ year of collections or related experience
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and document accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Business acumen and communication proficiency
- Must be physically based in the United States (company equipment cannot be used abroad)
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $10.99 – $15.33 (final offer based on skills, experience, and location)
