Position Overview
Care Access is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and innovation-driven Clinical Vendor Specialist. This individual is responsible for sourcing clinical vendors to support new studies and clinical trials. Candidates need to have a deep understanding of traditional and innovative approaches to procurement, pricing, contracting, GPO and research lab procedures. This position will work closely with Finance, Operations and vendors to ensure sites can smoothly operationalize a protocol.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Research and engage potential vendors prior to clinical trials being awarded to expedite site readiness
- Execute new vendor set up process (MSA, SOP, NDA) and get appropriate contract documents in place
- Engage with multiple vendors for each needed procedure per site
- Provide procedures and vendor contact names to Care Access site personnel to facilitate patient scheduling
- Build positive relationships with vendors?
- Maintain database of vendors complete with contact information, website addresses, and record and notate all contact attempts with each vendor
- Take initiative to solve problems and provide solutions for Care Access personnel
- Process requisitions, execute tactical buying, create purchase orders, follow-up on goods receipt, invoice receipt and payment processing.
- Understands operational considerations of urgency and flexibility
Physical and Travel Requirements
- This is a remote position with no travel requirements.
What You Bring (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Excellent working knowledge of medical and research terminology
- Excellent working knowledge of federal regulations, good clinical practices (GCP)Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse team of professionals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance tasks with competing priorities
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, health care or any related field
- 2+ years of pharma/medical/clinical industry experience.
- 2+ years of experience in contracts and pricing with increasing roles and responsibilities.
