Brief Overview:

The Clinical Quality Associate will provide administrative support to the Clinical Quality Manager/Office. The Clinical Quality Office is focused on the continual development and refinement of existing processes to attain specific objectives within the practice. This involves maintaining a thorough understanding of all clinical aspects, allowing for proactive identification and resolution of issues affecting patient care quality, provider satisfaction, compliance with government and regulatory bodies, and company risk and liability. The implementation of mechanisms ensures swift corrective actions are taken when necessary. Additionally, the office prioritizes the accurate and efficient collection of clinical data and the timely delivery of reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings a passion for healthcare, strong analytical skills, adaptability in fast-paced settings, proactive initiative, and the ability to meet deadlines independently.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to the Clinical Quality Manager and Office
  • Manages medical record requests
  • Manages prior authorization requests
  • Assists in resolving patient and client complaints
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Medical coding preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical.
  • Ability to adapt to change while meeting deadlines.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Interest in healthcare and innovative technologies
  • Experience with SalesForce strongly preferred

In addition to urgent care, AMG also manages a national behavioral health practice, which includes therapy and psychiatry, programs in sleep medicine and women’s health, as well as a nutrition practice staffed by registered dieticians and a breastfeeding support practice. The Amwell Medical Group practices across all 50 states – 24 hours/day, 365 days/year and has over 4400 active providers.

The typical hourly wage range for this position is $18.75 – $25.80.  The actual hourly wage offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors.  This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role.
