What You’ll Do
- Manage a team of Admissions Assessment Therapists, Associates, and/or Coordinators to hit department objectives
- Lead supervision and team development through performance reviews, weekly 1:1s, team meetings, hiring, training, coaching, and growth plans
- Oversee intake and assessments for national virtual intensive outpatient programming
- Complete monthly chart audits to ensure compliance and quality assurance
- Partner with Clinical Leadership, Admissions Leadership, Compliance, Revenue Cycle Management, and Utilization Review to improve policies, procedures, and client experience
- Develop and revise admissions best practices, policies, and procedures
- Handle escalations and service recovery, determining best next steps for clients and families
- Build rapport with clients using compassionate, inclusive, professional communication
- Present program information clearly and supportively to help clients access care
- Complete HIPAA-compliant virtual biopsychosocial assessments across ages (children through adults)
- Identify when higher level of care or crisis intervention is needed and connect with appropriate staff
- Form provisional DSM-V diagnoses
- Document in EMR per regulatory standards
- Assign treatment team members and group schedules; inform staff of new admissions
- Adapt to change and restructuring based on client and organizational needs
What You Need
- 2+ years of behavioral health admissions supervisory/management experience
- Master’s degree in mental health or related field
- Independent mental health licensure (all disciplines welcome)
- Experience across age groups (children, teens, young adults, adults)
- Strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to motivate, communicate, and build rapport at all levels
- High proficiency with EMR systems
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Comfortable with cloud tools (Gmail, Slack, Dropbox, Zoom, Office, EMR)
- Work authorized in the United States with native or bilingual English proficiency
- Reliable tech setup for confidential, compliant telehealth work
