Primary Responsibilities:

  • Take calls from providers regarding chemotherapy and specialty eligibility
  • Determine if the consumers are eligible for a health program
  • Connect consumers to a nurse
  • Take calls from providers and enter services that they are requesting into the system
  • Must have accurate documentation
  • Must meet weekly metrics
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 6+ months of experience working with ICD – 9 / 10 and CPT codes
  • 1+ years of customer service experience in a call center environment
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare or medical billing
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in a clerical or administrative support related role
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word (creating, editing, saving documents) and Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, and sort spreadsheets, basic analytical formulas (VLOOKUP, if)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
