Responsibilities
- Resolve Claims Issues: Investigate billing discrepancies, coordinate with members, carriers, and providers to ensure accurate and timely resolutions.
- Coordinate Benefits: Manage cases involving Medicaid, Medicare, COBRA, motor vehicle claims, and other programs to ensure proper benefits coordination.
- Educate & Empower: Clearly explain plan coverage, guide members through complex claims, and help them understand their benefits.
- Ensure Accuracy: Process claims according to federal regulations and company policies with attention to detail.
- Collaborate & Escalate: Partner with internal teams and escalate unresolved issues to supervisors or carriers as needed.
- Mentor & Support: Share best practices, assist new hires, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare, claims, or customer service
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes and deliver solutions
- Excellent communication and listening skills with an empathetic, member-first approach
- Knowledge of ACA guidelines, Medicare, COBRA, and plan documents (a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and internal case-tracking systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
