Schedule
- Full-time, remote role (must reside in an eligible payroll state: CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV, WI)
- Standard business hours with flexibility
- Minimal travel; primarily phone-based claims handling
What You’ll Do
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle casualty claims within established best practices and jurisdictional guidelines
- Handle injury and third-party property damage claims, including uninsured and underinsured motorists, as well as homeowner’s liability
- Collaborate with material damage appraisers on auto physical damage claims
- Ensure compliance with state Fair Claims Practices and licensing requirements
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness across claims documentation and reporting
- Investigate and close an average of 55+ losses per month
- Provide exceptional customer service with empathy, professionalism, and efficiency
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Previous insurance or claims resolution experience ideal
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to interpret medical terms, tort law, and auto repair estimates
- Familiarity with personal lines insurance policies (auto, homeowners, liability)
- Some state licensing required (training and support provided)
- Comfort with multiple claims systems, documentation, and follow-up practices
