What You’ll Do
• Review medical insurance claims for validity, completeness, and policy compliance
• Collect, organize, and analyze claim documentation (medical records, policy info, reports)
• Ensure claims processing aligns with internal policy and regulatory requirements
• Investigate claims when needed (calls with claimants/witnesses, work with experts)
• Determine coverage, liability, and benefits payable
• Evaluate loss/damage and determine settlement amounts
• Communicate with claimants/policyholders, request missing info, give updates
• Recommend approvals, denials, or negotiated settlements and keep processing timely
• Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and reporting
• Stay current on regulations and claims best practices
• Deliver strong customer service while maintaining efficiency and accuracy
What You Need
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical claims processing experience (required), including claims software/tools
• Strong communication (written/verbal), negotiation, and active listening
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and high attention to detail
• Ability to work fast without getting sloppy in changing workloads
• Basic math, intermediate typing, and basic computer skills
