Wagmo is looking for a Claims Adjuster to adjudicate claims in accordance with best practice guidelines and regulatory requirements from FNOL through to resolution.  You will be an ambassador of our customer centered claims journey and will maintain clear lines of communication with policyholders, claim staff, third-party administrators, and veterinary professionals.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor, analyze and report on claim performance: claims inventory, cycle time, processing and quality SLAs, to assure conformity with company objectives and continuous improvement
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and chat messages from policyholders
  • Model ethical behavior and executes job responsibilities in accordance with Wagmo’s mission, vision, and core values
  • Execute policies and procedures to assure compliance to best practices, claims management services standards, state regulations, and client service requirements
  • Promptly manage all aspects of claim settlement including investigation, correspondence, negotiation, and settlement
  • Provide appropriate reporting on files to the Claims Manager and/or Sr. Management with recommendations on reserving, plan of action, and current evaluation as required
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and chat messages from policyholders
  • Work collaboratively across all internal departments to execute on claim related initiatives
  • Foster a positive and professional relationship with external veterinary professionals
  • Ensure the tracking of customer interactions and decisions in the electronic claims management system

 What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
  • 3+ years of claims adjusting experience in the insurance industry
  • Proven ability to lead/supervise a team and independently seek solutions to problems
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products and claims related software programs
  • Demonstrated success in cross-team collaboration and working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize multiple high-priority tasks, manage your day-to-day schedule, and hit deadlines consistently
  • Detail-oriented with excellent design, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated critical thinker who can work independently to solve problems
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
