The Medical Assistant (MA) will work on the Primary Care team with other clinical staff to support the primary care clinicians and patients. The MA will serve as an available resource for patients and clinicians, and act as a care guide to support patients through the continuum of care. He/she/they will carry out assigned tasks and orders as delegated by the clinicians to support patient care.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist patients via telephone, or other modalities, as part of the primary care team, including call backs to respond to patient needs.
- Assist in patient care through the collection of health information, vitals, and other health history information that needs to be shared with the provider and other care team members.
- Provides health care support services for all patients (adult and pediatric) as established by clinic protocols and community practice standards.
- Assist in general patient care coordination to support any/all patient care needs.
- Handles calls and correspondence regarding pharmacy, lab, referrals, or any other pertinent questions from physicians, pharmacies and patients.
- Actively manages quality initiatives in collaboration with provider and clinical care staff.
- Creates and supports an environment which fosters teamwork, cooperation, respect and diversity.
- Establishes and maintains positive communication and professional demeanor with co-workers & patients at all times.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Attends required training as requested.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Graduate of accredited medical assistant program
- Currently hold a valid MA certification.
- 1+ years experience working in Family/Primary Care setting.
- Occasional evening and weekend coverage may be required.

The United States base salary range for this full-time position is $22-$28.75/hour + equity + benefits.
Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data.
