Schedule
- Fully remote
- Full time, 40 hours per week (non-exempt)
- Monday to Friday shift options (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch):
- 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM PST
- Or EST options starting at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 12:00 PM
What You’ll Do
• Maintain accurate patient records and protect PHI in full HIPAA compliance
• Communicate with patients professionally and compassionately across phone, video, email, Slack, text, and portal messaging
• Complete a high volume of prior authorizations with speed and accuracy
• Handle clinical administrative work within scope, following provider instructions
• Manage pharmacy refills, obtain and track labs and medical records, leave phone messages, and respond to patient messages
• De-escalate complex patient situations with calm, clarity, and care
What You Need
• National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) from NHA, AMT, or AAMA (required)
• CoverMyMeds experience (required)
• Prior authorization experience for weight loss medications, electronically and by phone (required)
• 3+ years of MA experience post externship (telehealth or remote experience is a strong plus)
• 2+ years of current Athenahealth outpatient EMR experience (required), plus 5+ years total EMR experience preferred
• Organized, detail-oriented, self-starter work style with strong independent follow-through
