Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Two shifts available:
- 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM PST
- 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST
- Monday through Friday (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Fully remote, work-from-home
What You’ll Do
- Maintain accurate patient records across communication channels (phone, video, email, Slack, text, and patient portal)
- Submit a high volume of prior authorizations, including weight loss medications
- Manage pharmacy refills, labs, medical records, and patient messages under provider instructions
- Perform clinical administrative functions within scope of certification
- Stay compliant with HIPAA and safeguard all PHI
- Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and initiative while supporting patients and providers
What You Need
- National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) required
- 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (telehealth/remote experience a plus)
- 2+ years of current Athenahealth EMR experience (5+ years overall EMR experience)
- Prior experience using CoverMyMeds (required)
- Experience submitting prior authorizations for weight loss medications (required)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
