Salary Range: 16.39 – 24.57 Hourly
This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At One Call, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The Cash Applications Associate II and Senior receives payment from insurance company for services rendered and applying payment to correct patient’s referral.
Intermediate role. Moderate skills with high level of proficiency. Has complete understanding of Cash Applications department. Handles calls which are predominantly routine but associate must be able to deviate from standard scripts and procedures as needed. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on more complex issues. Typically requires a minimum of two (2) or more years of working in cash applications.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers questions from internal departments about Cash Applications protocols.
Reviews payment details and apply payments to correct patient account.
Reviews denials and document reasons in company system.
Communicates with insurance company if additional information needed to apply payment.
Organizes and files patient EOBs.
Delivers exceptional customer service with every customer interaction.
Understands how to use office equipment (copier and/or scanner).
Attends department meetings and participate in training sessions.
Performs all other duties and assignments as directed by management.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proficient computer skills and data entry.
Critical thinking and problem solving.
Time management.
Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
