Your impact 

Are you passionate about helping individuals achieve their career goals? Do you thrive in a performance-driven environment and bring a background in recruiting? Join us as a Career Transition Coach and play a crucial role in guiding our graduates toward successful job outcomes. In this role, you will take ownership of your assigned cohort of Correlation One graduates, driving their progress and reporting successful outcomes.

An estimation of the time commitment for this role is 15 hours per week.

Key Objectives:

  • Facilitate Career Transitions: Assist each learner in transitioning into a new role, either internally or within their field of study.
  • Outcome Reporting: Identify and report outcomes that may occur outside of the coaching relationship.

A day in the life 

Alumni Cohort Management (60% – 8-10 hours per week)

  • Cohort Oversight & Progression: Manage and closely monitor a caseload of alumni fellows, ensuring consistent engagement and progress towards outcomes during the Career Transition Phase taking proactive steps to address any issues or barriers to learner success.
  • Engagement Plans: Develop and implement individualized engagement plans, addressing specific needs and career goals for every learner in the cohort.
  • Targeted Outreach: Lead targeted outreach campaigns across various platforms, including Slack, LinkedIn, Yesware, Zapier, Mailchimp, and phone to boost learner engagement and collect outcomes.
  • Status Updates: Conduct regular campaigns to update cohort job search statuses, scrape LinkedIn, and take additional actions contributing to the tracking of job placements.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze outreach campaign responses to identify trends, areas for improvement, and tailor follow-up strategies effectively.
  • Job Sharing: Share employer partner job opportunities, as well as coach selected roles.
  • Record Keeping / Appointment Tracking: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all fellow interactions, promptly updating tracking systems to reflect current statuses and activities.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Career Operation Managers and team members, providing weekly updates on fellow progress and strategies for improving learner outcomes and engagement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize data and feedback to continuously enhance outreach methods and engagement strategies, ensuring high learner satisfaction and program effectiveness.

Career Coaching (40% – 5-7 hours per week)

  • Professional Development Support: Support the professional development of fellows through weekly coaching sessions, offering resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, and job search preparation advice.
  • Alumni Engagement: Engage in the Alumni Slack space with posts on career development topics and relevant roles.
  • Communication Records: Maintain detailed records of all communications and interactions with fellows, ensuring timely and accurate updates in the tracking system.

  • Proactive and Creative: Able to segment learners into appropriate groups based on engagement level, goals, locations, and preferred interaction types.
  • Detail-Oriented: High level of attention to detail and dedication to creative thinking and outreach strategies.
  • Goal-Oriented: Enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and motivated to help each learner succeed individually.
  • Organized & Adaptable: Extremely organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently within the committed hours, while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Where you are

  • This role is remote and the ideal candidate will be located anywhere in the United States or Canada. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.

Compensation

  • The compensation range for this position is specific to location and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. These factors include (but are not limited to) location, experience, education and skill sets. A reasonable estimate of the current rate for this position is $33/hr. Please note that the shared rate is specific to the United States. A performance bonus for this role is also available.
