Schedule
- Remote, United States
- W2 part-time role
- Minimum 15 hours/week (availability cannot drop below 12 hours)
- Monday–Thursday availability required within: 3–9pm MT or 10am–2pm MT (split shift preferred)
- Rotating Fridays and Saturdays required: 9am–3pm MT
- Must maintain the availability you’re hired with; can receive up to 28 hours weekly
- Reliable WiFi and a confidential remote workspace required
What You’ll Do
- Engage clients in 1:1 peer discussions via secure platforms to support treatment goals and attendance
- Provide skill-based interventions to stabilize clients during heightened stress
- Conduct risk screenings and safety planning, escalating to crisis clinicians as needed
- Remain a resource during programming to maintain engagement throughout treatment
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree (completed, in progress, or senior year) in a related field and/or relevant certifications (Certified Peer Specialist preferred)
- 2nd-year Master’s students preferred
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults (IOP, PHP, RTC, or inpatient preferred)
- 1+ year experience in peer support, mentoring, skills training, or similar mental health support roles preferred
- For Virginia applicants: PRS or FSP certification and registration
- Direct lived experience with mental health or substance use disorders (including parenting a youth with these experiences)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and knowledge of confidentiality/client rights standards
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting client treatment success
- Proficient with cloud-based tools (Slack, Dropbox, Gmail, Zoom, Google Drive, EMR) and Excel/Google Sheets
- Authorized to work in the United States; native or bilingual English proficiency
