Charlie Health provides virtual intensive outpatient mental health care for adolescents and young adults who are struggling with complex mental health conditions, substance use, and eating disorders. Their model combines small group sessions, individual therapy, and family support so clients can access high quality, personalized care from home. Schedule
- W2 part time position
- Remote role within the United States
- Minimum 15 hours per week, cannot drop below 12 hours of availability
- Care Coaches must have availability within at least one of the following blocks (Mountain Time):
- Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm MT
- Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm MT
- Split shift availability across both weekday windows is preferred
- Rotating Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm MT, availability for both is preferred
- Potential to work up to 28 hours weekly depending on business needs
- Must maintain the availability pattern you are hired into
- Remote work requires a confidential space and reliable WiFi
What You’ll Do
- Engage Charlie Health clients in one to one peer discussions via secure telehealth platforms to support alignment with treatment goals and ongoing program attendance
- Provide skill based interventions during moments of heightened stress to help clients regulate and stabilize
- Conduct risk screenings and participate in safety planning, escalating concerns to crisis clinicians when indicated
- Serve as a consistent support during programming to maintain engagement throughout the treatment journey
- Advocate for client needs and help ensure their individual goals stay connected to their assessment and treatment plan
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related social or mental health field
- Seniors in a bachelor’s program will be considered
- Second year master’s students are preferred
- Preferred: at least one year of experience in a mental health related role such as peer support, mentor, skills trainer, mental health associate, or similar position
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults in individual and group settings is strongly preferred, especially in Inpatient, IOP, PHP, or residential treatment
- Direct lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges, or experience parenting a child or youth with these challenges
- Comfort advocating for clients while honoring clinical recommendations and program expectations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with working knowledge of client rights, confidentiality, and professional standards
- Eagerness to work in a fast paced environment and play a hands on role in client success
- Authorized to work in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency
- Reliable WiFi and a private, confidential workspace for remote telehealth work
- Proficiency with cloud based tools such as Slack, Dropbox, Gmail, Zoom, Google Drive, EMR systems, and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets)
