- Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 8:00pm EST (8-hour shift within this window)
- Must be based in the U.S.
What You’ll Do
- Provide customer service to patients and providers via phone and email
- Rotate weekly between handling inbound calls and managing tickets/emails/outbound tasks
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and prior authorization questions
- Process payments, refunds, and adjustments accurately
- Enter and maintain patient data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with finance and customer service teams to streamline billing operations
- Educate clients on billing policies, insurance coverage, and payment options
- Navigate multiple payer types including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers, and ACOs
- Contribute to process improvements and billing efficiency initiatives
What You Need
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven billing or customer support experience, ideally in healthcare or labs
- Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party payer policies
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and billing software (Xifin/Careviso a plus)
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal/written communication and phone etiquette
- Ability to deescalate difficult situations professionally
- 1–3 years healthcare, billing, or insurance customer service experience preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus
