As a Billing Specialist, you will support our billing team and assist with monthly invoicing. This business is fast-paced and requires someone who is highly motivated, proactive, dependable, responsible, and professional. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and works well as part of a team. The right candidate is extremely organized, responsive to tight deadlines, and is comfortable on the phone.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sales and Account Management teams to accurately invoice clients per the terms of the contract
- Read and understand the terms of each contractparticularly as it pertains to billing, but also become familiar with the scope of work, costs, deliverables, and schedule
- Prepare invoices for customers in accordance with contract terms in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure accurate application of payments and credits by following established guidelines
- Securely and accurately process credit card information, setup automated billing payments, and update credit card information
- Maintain the billing email inbox and ensure professional, timely, and complete responses to all inquiries
- Make and receive phone calls to discuss billing, accounts receivables, and other general inquiries with professionalism and tact
- Support the Accounts Payable and other Accounting/Finance related functions as directed
Experience
- Associate’s degree in Business or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least one year of billing or collections experience preferred
- Billing/account receivables experience preferred
- Experience with Sage 50 and Salesforce highly desirable
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict due dates and overlapping responsibilities
- Must be flexible, self-motivated, independent, detail and deadline-oriented, and able to work under pressure
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
