Schedule
- Position: Full-time, permanent
- Location: 100% remote (United States)
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 11:30 am – 8:00 pm EST
- Environment: Remote call center, heavy phone volume
Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of inbound patient calls in a remote call center environment.
- Respond to questions and concerns in a friendly, empathetic, and professional manner.
- Forward calls to alternate billing departments when needed.
- Troubleshoot and identify resolutions to billing and account issues while following client rules and expectations.
- Follow through on all requests, which may include calling third parties, emailing, or faxing information.
- Maintain a positive company image while handling sometimes stressful or urgent situations.
- Multi-task between systems to document calls, research accounts, and complete follow-up work.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills with basic proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to type at least 40 WPM.
- Some knowledge of insurance billing (full training provided, but experience is a plus).
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced phone environment.
- Able to stay calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving mindset: know what questions to ask and how to move toward a resolution.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional phone presence.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when documenting and handling account information.
- Proven ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize to complete all assigned work.
- Punctual, dependable, and accountable for performance and attendance.
