Schedule
- Full-time, remote (US-based)
- May require overtime to ensure daily/monthly balancing
- Flexibility to support backlog or special projects
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify daily receipts, research unmarked payments, and post payments or zero-payments with follow-up notes
- Maintain logs of daily receipts and contractual postings
- Post patient payments, electronic/manual insurance payments, and denials with the correct reason codes
- Balance all payments and contractuals daily, ensuring postings match bank deposits
- Process rejections by correcting billing errors and resubmitting claims to third-party payers
- Support backlog projects such as credit account research, Thrive reconciliation, and unapplied payment resolution
- Maintain high standards of production and quality while protecting confidential customer information
- Assist team members with complex or high-profile account posting issues
- Participate in company-offered training and contribute to team projects
Requirements
- 3 years of hospital payment posting experience (inside or outside TruBridge)
- Knowledge of CAS codes, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology
- Commercial billing and follow-up experience
- Strong computer skills and ability to work with multiple insurance payers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, shift between tasks, and meet productivity standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Experience with hospital billing
- Knowledge of California Medicaid
