About the Role
As a Bilingual Collections Specialist (English/Spanish), you’ll play a critical role in GoodLeap’s personal finance department, helping customers resolve overdue payments and return their loans to good standing. You’ll combine professionalism, empathy, and negotiation skills to build solutions that support both the client and the business.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with clients to resolve overdue debts
- Identify delinquent accounts and develop strategies to bring them current
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly collection goals and metrics
- Keep accurate records of overdue accounts, payments, and timelines
- Ensure compliance with GoodLeap’s policies and all applicable regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet departmental objectives
Requirements
- 1–2 years of credit and collections experience
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of negotiation and persuasion techniques
- Previous telemarketing experience with financial products preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a strong team player
- Professional, customer-focused demeanor
