Expanding at a rapid pace, Gopuff is seeking to hire a Benefits Administrator to join the People Operations Team. This unique individual contributes to the company’s performance by administering various employee benefits, including health and life insurance. The Benefits Administrator will report to the Benefits Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assisting employees in the field and headquarters with enrollment in benefits programs, such as health insurance
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
- Ensuring that the company’s benefits policy complies with laws and regulations
- Informing employees of any changes to their benefits
- Conducting presentations and meetings to explain benefits to employees
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Assists with new-hire orientations
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility
- Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life status changes
- Assist with processing and administering all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment
- Assists with the open enrollment process
- Additional duties and projects as needed
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred.
- 1-2 years experience in human resources; benefits administration experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication with strong organizational skills.
- Customer Service attitude toward internal employees.
- Ability to set high personal goals and work independently.
- Ability to work cross functionally with various departments.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Precise attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HCM or HRIS systems; Workday desirable.
- Proven acuity in G-Suite and data-base management.
