Schedule
- Full-time, non-exempt position
- Remote role, reporting to the Benefits Manager
- Standard business hours with flexibility as needed
Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with insurance company representatives regarding patient benefits
- Obtain benefit information from insurance companies and provide accurate benefit quotes to providers
- Respond to provider office inquiries and emails in a timely manner
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with patient rights and HIPAA standards
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records
- Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in healthcare or behavioral health strongly preferred
- Strong confidentiality and professionalism in handling patient information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, accountable, and a quick learner
- Comfortable with prolonged computer use and ability to lift up to 10 lbs
