Schedule
- Full time, remote role
- Fixed schedule between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Central (final shift assigned by the team)
- Computer based work with payment posting, file imports, and AR follow up
- Collaboration with billing and client relations teams in a virtual environment
What You’ll Do
⦁ Review and accurately post insurance and patient payments, including adjustments, write offs, and refunds, following company and payer guidelines.
⦁ Resolve auto posted ERA errors daily and process payment files from clearinghouses and payer portals to keep batches current.
⦁ Manually post payments from bank lockbox deposits, facility deposits, and paper checks, then reconcile and close batches with clean control totals.
⦁ Research and post unidentified payments to the correct accounts and support month end reconciliation so all payments, recoupments, and adjustments are captured.
⦁ Partner with billing and client relations staff to fix posting discrepancies, resolve payment issues, and support a higher rate of electronic payments.
⦁ Provide AR support as time allows by following up on outstanding insurance claims, preparing corrected or appealed claims, and helping with billing problem resolution.
What You Need
⦁ Experience with medical payment posting, including adjustments, write offs, and refunds, plus familiarity with medical billing and payer policies.
⦁ Prior medical billing or accounts receivable experience in healthcare is preferred.
⦁ Strong ten key skills and comfort working in tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Excel, and web based portals.
⦁ Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management in a deadline driven environment.
⦁ Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret instructions in different situations.
⦁ A problem solving mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a remote team.
