What You’ll Do
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts via phone, email, and third-party platforms
- Identify invoices past contracted payment terms (30+ days) weekly and drive resolution
- Investigate why invoices weren’t paid (missing invoice, disputes, process gaps) and follow through to close
- Recommend accounts for escalation, suspension, write-off, or third-party collections when appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer interactions
- Send weekly management updates, including detailed notes for 60+ day invoices
- Track outstanding balances and follow up with clients to collect overdue payments
- Review past-due balances to spot issues and determine next actions
- Coordinate with other teams on complex or escalated cases
- Request support from Sales or account owners when customers go unresponsive
- Generate accurate invoices based on contracts, usage, data, and logs
- Identify billing errors through data analysis and reconciliation
- Respond to billing and invoice questions from customers
- Manage and verify amounts tied to Salesforce cases and customer inquiries
- Support AR billing-related updates while protecting PHI at all times
What You Need
- 3–5 years of experience in AR, billing, and collections (or a closely related role)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle high daily volume without sacrificing quality
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct or NetSuite preferred)
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Comfort working in HIPAA-compliant environments and handling sensitive information
