Schedule
- Full-time, fully remote position
- Must reside in the U.S.
- Requires reliable high-speed internet (at least 100 Mbps download / 25 Mbps upload via cable or fiber)
- Primarily standard weekday business hours, with deadlines and volume driving day-to-day pace
What You’ll Do
- Log and track all incoming appeals for the Allied Advocate program
- Review appeal requests and supporting documentation to determine appropriateness and completeness
- Analyze Summary Plan Documents (SPDs) to evaluate the validity of appeals
- Document appeal details, status, and outcomes in Qiclink and other internal databases
- Compose appeal responses when needed and coordinate final responses with business partners
- Communicate with internal departments, clients, and external partners to gather information and clarify issues
- Prioritize incoming referrals to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Monitor and follow up on aging appeals with business partners
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the claims and appeals process
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience handling medical claims appeals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret claims, plan documents, and appeal scenarios
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to learn new systems and adapt to process changes
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment while staying accountable to deadlines
