Schedule
- Full-time, Thursday–Monday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm CT
- Remote or on-site flexibility (Center Point, TX)
Responsibilities
- Admit and register patients, maintaining clear communication with referrals and families
- Review admissions against approved criteria, policies, and procedures
- Schedule and conduct pre-admission assessments
- Provide guidance to prospective patients and families seeking treatment
- Refer to outside agencies/resources if facility care isn’t appropriate
- Coordinate with referral sources to streamline the admissions process
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, databases, and EMR updates
- Arrange client transportation (arrivals, discharges, appointments)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare admissions (mental health or substance abuse preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort interacting with patients, families, and referral sources
Licenses/Certifications
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (provided by facility upon hire)
- First aid certification may be required by state/facility
