Position Objective:
To assist with the development and implementation of PETA’s online marketing and promotional efforts
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Help move along the day-to-day operations of PETA’s online marketing and promotional efforts
- Liaise with outside departments to ensure website content is accurate and up-to-date
- Publish articles to PETA’s websites via our content management system WordPress, ensuring flawless presentation of text and multimedia elements
- Upload photos to PETA’s websites with proper credit and permissions
- Work with our design team to report any website bugs or necessary changes
- Acknowledge colleagues’ significant days (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
- Assist with drafting and implementing marketing plans for PETA’s website content
- Monitor and analyze website traffic and the success of online campaigns
- Research new online marketing opportunities and technologies
- Maintain various departmental spreadsheets and databases
- Serve as the department’s liaison to the PETA Foundation’s Finance Department, including submitting credit card reports and invoices
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience in an office or professional remote environment
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software
- Excellent working knowledge of the Internet
- Knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
- Thorough understanding and appreciation of the creative process
- Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated effective research and analytical skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
