Their RCM team handles complex, multi-payer medical billing so providers can focus on treating patients instead of chasing claims. Schedule
- Full-time, remote/hybrid (US-based)
- Standard weekday business hours with some flexibility depending on team needs
- Collaborate virtually with a distributed RCM and operations team
What You’ll Do
- Work daily A/R to reduce aging and improve collections across multi-specialty medical professional services
- Prepare and resubmit corrected claims (electronic and paper) per payer-specific rules and contracts
- Analyze first-pass rejections and clean claims for resubmission to minimize denials and delays
- Research, track, and follow up on primary and secondary claims until resolved
- Review, prepare, and submit appeals with accurate, complete supporting documentation
- Evaluate accounts and recommend adjustments or write-offs based on collectability and payer behavior
- Identify and flag billing trends, errors, or systemic issues to management for corrective action
- Generate and send monthly patient statements in line with EOBs and payer responses
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI and follow internal privacy and security policies
What You Need
- 1–3 years of experience in medical insurance claims billing and collections (preferred)
- Solid understanding of medical A/R, denials, re-billing, payment posting, adjustments, and appeals
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Experience with physical therapy EMR or similar medical practice software is a plus
- Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with patients, payers, and internal teams
- Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting while meeting goals and deadlines
- A customer-success mindset focused on clean claims, faster payments, and a positive experience for clinics and patients
