What You’ll Do
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on commercial hospice healthcare claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Verify insurance eligibility and maintain up-to-date patient and billing records
- Review and interpret client contracts to ensure proper reimbursement
- Resolve claim discrepancies, process denials, and track payment trends
- Create and maintain Excel billing documentation for clients
- Communicate with clients and payers via phone and email to resolve account questions
- Submit fee schedule updates, rebills, and documentation requests as needed
What You Need
- 1–5 years of experience interpreting client contracts and working in AR
- Solid understanding of claims processing, medical billing, and insurance guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to stay organized and work independently
