RMI is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator who will serve a key support role on the Accounting team and across the organization. Reporting to the Assistant Controller and working closely with other RMI staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of client invoices. The ideal candidate is detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up clients and billing terms in RMI s accounting system
  • Complete new client paperwork and set RMI up as a vendor in client portals
  • Manage client billing schedules with project managers
  • Document the monthly invoicing status of each project, maintain contract balances
  • Track new projects, follow up with project managers on contract status
  • Review time and expenses coded to client projects, research any variations from contract
  • Create invoices and send to clients, verify each invoice meets individual client s requirements
  • Ensure client contract follows RMI s signature policy and is filed in a centralized location
  • Understand consulting proposal requirements and verify they have been followed
  • Follow up on outstanding client invoices
  • Correspond with clients and respond to inquiries
  • Ensure proper documentation has been obtained and filed in the appropriate place
  • Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls
  • Assist with vendor bill processing, expense report processing, and bank deposits as needed
  • Provide back up support for accounting staff

Qualifications

  • Experience in a transaction processing role (either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable) preferred
  • Detail and service oriented with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
  • Workday experience preferred

Location

We are a remote-ready company with team members around the globe. Our beautiful and welcoming offices are available for meetings or focused work, whether you are traveling through or living nearby. Our U.S. offices are in New York City; Washington DC; Oakland, California; Boulder, Colorado, and Basalt, Colorado. This role can be located from anywhere in the continental United States.

We love seeing each other in person! We occasionally gather for shared time together like retreats and learning experiences. Be ready to travel for occasional in-person meetings (and of course, we cover travel costs). Some roles may require more travel, which will be discussed during the hiring process.

Compensation

RMI compensates based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new Coordinators join at the minimum to mid hourly pay range of $22.60- $25.96. You would also have an additional 5% bonus target!
