Role Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive – B2B Freight with a strong emphasis on sales to oversee our company’s transportation/carrier division. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving revenue through freight bookings, establishing strategic relationships with merchants, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.
To ensure success as a Account Executive – Freight, you should possess extensive knowledge of the operational side of carrier services, and experience in a similar role.
What you’ll do:
- Establish and communicate processes for the exchange of transportation documentation, ensuring a seamless experience for Merchants.
- Drive revenue through proactive sales efforts of freight bookings, focusing on both current and potential new merchants.
- Develop, implement, and improve carrier policies and procedures.
- Liaise between Merchant management, ShipBob Transportaiton, and customers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimize transportation services and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Report carrier performance, handle customer queries, and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Comply to transportation regulations and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and improve sales-focused carrier policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Other duties/responsibilities as necessary
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a transportation specialist role with a strong emphasis on sales.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation industry regulations with a specific focus on sales-related aspects.
- Proficiency in transportation management.
- Superb leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to provide operational support outside of business hours.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $52,500 – $87,500.
