What You’ll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and amendments for federal and state programs
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and state-specific contracting requirements
- Partner with proposal and business development teams to review RFPs/RFQs/solicitations and support proposal strategy
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract interpretation, negotiation approaches, compliance requirements, and risk tradeoffs
- Support proposal development by helping shape cost and pricing narratives, certifications, and required representations
- Monitor contract performance and identify risks, compliance concerns, and mitigation strategies
- Maintain accurate contract records and documentation for audits and reporting
- Serve as a strategic advisor to program managers and leadership on contractual risk and proposal implications
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations to resolve contract issues and keep projects aligned
- Develop and implement best practices for contract administration and compliance monitoring
- Support internal training initiatives on contract policies, procedures, and compliance expectations
- (Preferred) Manage contracts related to state appeals and IDRE processes, ensuring timeline and procedural adherence
- Lead compliance tracking across contract and vendor agreement performance requirements
- Monitor SLAs and provide compliance reporting, analytics, and regular updates to project leadership
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and third-party auditors; support quality assurance audits
- Develop business continuity, disaster recovery, and document archiving reports
- Ensure staffing/operations/quality management plans remain updated and accurate
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of contract management experience
- 5+ years of FAR and DFARS contracting experience (required)
- Demonstrated experience supporting proposal development (RFP analysis, compliance review)
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment
- Experience with state appeals/IDRE processes (preferred)
- Advanced degree or professional designation (preferred)
