What You’ll Do
- Request and obtain prescriptions and insurance authorizations for a portfolio of patients
- Contact physician offices, payer reps, and patients daily to confirm scheduled services and document accurate info
- Send renewal/changes requests for prescriptions and authorizations
- Follow up with medical offices and insurers to ensure timely receipt and turnaround
- Resolve questions tied to CMN (Certificate of Medical Necessity) and PAR (Participating Provider)
- Re-verify patient eligibility monthly to support continued services
- Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics
- Ensure work meets internal/external compliance requirements
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years in an administrative or customer service role (healthcare/medical office experience preferred)
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel proficiency
- Strong attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through
- Solid problem-solving and critical thinking
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to change
- Strong written and verbal communication
Preferred
- Associate degree in medical office management, medical insurance, or medical coding
- Experience with insurance authorizations/pre-certification
- Knowledge of home health, DME, and enteral nutrition products
- Medical billing/coding certification
Notes
- Remote role but tied to Central Time hours
