Schedule
- Full-time, remote (U.S.)
- Pay range: $17.99 – $32.14/hour (based on skills, experience, location, internal equity)
What You’ll Do
- Identify denial causes and resolve claims with minimal assistance
- Track and report denial and payer trends
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing timelines
- Submit corrected/replacement claims, appeals, reconsiderations, and supporting documentation (fax/portals, etc.)
- Call payers to resolve claim and payment issues
- Ensure patient/account information is accurate and current
- Document accounts cleanly and professionally in the billing system
- Meet productivity standards and provide AR issue reporting to the team lead
- Support audits and provide admin help to team lead as needed
- Stay current on payer policies, guidelines, and revenue cycle best practices
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical billing education or certification (preferred)
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle fundamentals: AR, denial management, and coding basics (CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10)
- ModMed/EMA experience (nice to have)
- Professional communication style + strong attention to detail
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time independently in a remote environment
- Integrity and confidentiality with medical information
- Authorized to work full-time in the U.S.
