What You’ll Do
- Supervise and coach a COB processing team: prioritize work, manage performance, conduct reviews, approve time off, hire and train
- Monitor production, quality, and customer service standards to meet SLAs
- Serve as primary point of contact for offshore contractors: staffing fit, work assignment, training, hours approval, and issue resolution
- Partner with senior leadership to improve KPIs through policies, procedures, and production strategies
- Apply COB expertise (rules, regulations, methodologies, audit tactics) to drive efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with CMS, NAIC, state COB guidelines, and HIPAA
- Identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements
- Handle client issues and complaints and decide resolution paths
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the team protects PHI
What You Need
- High school diploma plus 5+ years in healthcare/insurance ops, COB, or claims processing
- 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Strong client focus and results orientation
- Solid organization, analytical thinking, and independent decision-making
- Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a production environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Comfortable working long periods at a computer in a standard office setup
