Schedule
- Fully remote (W2 employee)
- Job type: full-time, part-time, temporary (this role is described as part-time seasonal with potential for full-time based on business needs)
- Hours of operation (client): Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
- Minimum 20 hours/week required
- 8 hours worked are required every Monday (no exceptions)
- If a holiday falls on Monday, the 8 hours become mandatory on Tuesday
- Training is virtual and paid; 100% attendance required
What You’ll Do
- Process, navigate, and research unemployment insurance claims
- Answer inbound calls using computer software and assist with complex customer issues
- Research databases to resolve customer questions and case-specific situations
- Stay composed during escalations and high-stress interactions
- Multitask across multiple programs while maintaining accuracy and speed
- Work through challenging scenarios to reach acceptable outcomes
What You Need
- Ohio residence preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and currently reside in the U.S.
- Must pass a criminal background check (paid by Direct Interactions)
- Self-starter with a strong service mindset and steady composure
- Strong listening skills, empathy, and the ability to remain calm during back-to-back calls
- Clear verbal communication (grammar, pronunciation, tone, pitch)
- Detail-oriented multitasker who can navigate multiple systems quickly
- Minimum typing speed: 30 WPM
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Flexible and adaptable to change, goals, and challenges
