Expected duration: 6 months, with potential conversion to full-time

What You’ll Do
- Manage onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a smooth, policy-aligned start
- Run background check screenings and coordinate pre-employment steps in compliance with state/local laws
- Conduct exit interviews and summarize feedback insights for HR leadership
- Monitor HR inboxes and respond to employee inquiries with high-quality support
- Draft and respond to unemployment claims, including appeals and hearing prep
- Manage I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification in compliance with USCIS requirements
- Maintain HRIS transactions (new hires, promotions, transfers, leaves, terminations) with high accuracy
- Track, audit, and report on HR documentation (performance reviews, onboarding/offboarding records, exit interview completion)
- Support business travel requests and expense reporting
- Partner with Payroll, Benefits, L&D, IT, Legal, and other teams as needed
- Assist People Experience Partners/Directors with employee relations case support and documentation
- Support performance review and merit increase cycles
- Help plan and facilitate company events, staff meetings, and team engagement activities
What You Need
- High school diploma/GED required (bachelor’s in HR or related field preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in HR Operations or related HR areas
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving
- HRIS experience (ADP Workforce Now is a plus)
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, maintain accuracy, and stay calm under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication and dependable attendance
- Comfort working across multiple systems in a high-volume environment
