Schedule
Fully remote, full-time
Must be available during standard East Coast (ET) business hours
Phone-forward role with consistent documentation and follow-through expectations
What You’ll Do
- Answer phones and return voicemails, resolving questions or routing appropriately
- Identify and communicate stat/emergent situations and support follow-up workflows
- Relay pathology and biopsy results, schedule return visits, and coordinate minor procedures
- Schedule new patients, build charts, and create notes to support providers
- Document all patient conversations accurately in EMA/EMR
- Schedule surgeries based on provider templates, needs, and guidelines
- Prioritize skin cancer cases based on subtype, size, location, and aggressiveness
- Explain Mohs procedures so patients know what to expect
- Complete pre-op assessments and coordinate antibiotics/meds as directed by providers
What You Need
- High school diploma or higher
- 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- CCMA/RMA certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with phones/voicemails, charting, patient scheduling, and basic medical terminology
- Familiarity with surgical procedures, common pathology diagnoses, and emergent triage situations
- Authorization to work full time in the United States
