Be the calm voice patients trust when billing gets confusing. In this role, you’ll handle high-volume calls, explain insurance and EOBs in plain English, and help patients set up payments, all while protecting the patient experience from start to finish.

High-volume phone environment with regular, predictable attendance expectations
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming billing customer service calls
- Answer high-volume patient communications and return messages within 24 hours
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve billing and account issues with professionalism under pressure
- Review and update patient insurance and demographic details to keep accounts accurate
- Document all actions taken on patient accounts with strong grammar and clear notes
- Explain EOBs and patient responsibility (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) in detail
- Set up payment plans and take credit card payments over the phone
- Support special projects and additional duties as needed
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of health plan benefits and eligibility verification
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain EOBs clearly to patients
- Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and comfort handling complaints
- Medical billing education or certification preferred
- Mod Med/EMA practice management system experience is a plus
- Authorization to work in the U.S. full time
